Kingmets Copper Composite Panel is a composite material made of two copper skin sheets laminated to a plastic core. We also make top skin with copper sheet and bottom side with aluminium sheet to achieve more affordable cost. The composite core is available in standard LDPE core (low density polyethylene), FR B1 core (mineral filled fire retardant B1 grade). And copper skin we can replace with brass skin sheet (a copper & zinc alloy) too.
Copper composite panel is an ideal replacement to solid copper panel for facade & interior wall cladding. Copper composite panel keeps same natural copper surface like solid copper panel, but with the sandwich structure it becomes lower cost and meanwhile panel strength and flatness is greatly better. Copper has long history to be used for architectural decoration, as it is luxury material and has long life span. Its surface will naturall oxidized to turn brown and eventually develops a green copper patina for the reason that copper is an active metal.
